Up

Heat
If you are tired and achy by the end of the day, use a hot water bottle or Wheatie
Bag on those tired muscles. This aids circulation and decreases pain.

Deep Breathing
Deep breathing helps to relax tired and tense muscles and help you to relax within yourself. Throughout the day, remember to occasionally take in a nice, deep breath that fills your whole lungs.

Stretching
Try not to sit in one place for long periods without moving or stretching. Get up and move about for a few minutes at least once an hour. Be aware of your posture when you are hard at work. Is your back curved over and your chin forward? This position will lead to back and neck tension. Learn to fidget!

Your skin
Modern life can be very drying on the skin. Central heating, air conditioning and constant changes in temperature can all take their toll.
Massage mitts and brushes used daily in the bath or shower help to remove dead skin cells and brighten the look of your skin which can then be more easily moisturised to stay soft and supple with less wrinkles.
The biggest benefit on your skin remains your diet and fluid intake in the form of water. Dehydrated skin is automatically dry and prone to wrinkles and an unhealthy diet high in saturated fat and sugars promotes blotchy and unhealthy looking skin.

Mechanical Massage
There are a range of reasonably priced items on the market which are useful between treatments with your therapist for use on tired muscles.

Exercise
Take regular exercise, even if this is taking the stairs instead of the lift and walking and stretching.
